With 15+ years in technology and finance, Bas has a track record of innovation – from founding a telecom company and expanding it to 35 countries, to developing DHF’s proprietary algorithmic trading platform that balances client portfolios in real-time. An accomplished trader and certified technical analyst, he has over a decade of market experience, which he couples with cutting-edge financial technology to deliver stable, risk-managed returns for investors. Bas’s multi-industry expertise and strategic foresight continue to drive DHF Capital’s global growth and reputation for excellence.

With over 25 years of experience in financial institutions across the globe, this professional brings a wealth of expertise in Corporate & Investment Banking (M&A), Global Markets, and Treasury. Known for his entrepreneurial mindset, he has a knack for driving transformational initiatives and leading high-performing teams to success. His deep industry knowledge, combined with his ability to innovate in sales and risk management, allows him to navigate complex challenges and deliver exceptional results in dynamic financial landscapes.
Biography
Ian Lewis is a Chartered Accountant (SAICA) with more than 30 years’ experience in senior finance and operating roles across Europe, the US, Africa and the Middle East. He brings to DHF Capital a strong grounding in banking, governance, investor reporting and technology-led businesses. In banking, he led finance at ING Direct UK from pre-launch through launch and growth, as it became the fastest-growing bank in UK history at the time. In the UAE, he has served as Business Finance Director at G42, Group COO at Alef Education, where he led board and sovereign wealth fund reporting, and Group COO/CFO at Cultivate Group, where he secured a minority investor at the targeted valuation. He was previously named Naspers CFO of the Year and began his career in audit, including at PwC London.

With over 10 years of experience in project management within the IT and tech sectors, he has a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing third-party vendors to deliver complex projects on time, within scope, and on budget. As a strategic leader, he excels in defining clear project objectives, mitigating technical risks, and ensuring the seamless execution of both short-term and long-term goals. His ability to foster strong relationships with stakeholders and drive technical innovation has consistently contributed to the success of the projects he oversees.

Experienced Finance Professional with a demonstrated history of working in the financial, real estate, construction, academe and outsourcing/offshoring industry. Skilled in Accounts Receivable and Payable Management, Procurement Processing, Account Management, General Accounting, Microsoft Excel, and Accounts Analysis with a Master of Business Administration - MBA focused in Finance and Financial Management Services from Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Certificate in Financial and Managerial Accounting and a work-in-progress CMA.
